The Director
Gareth Winning is the founder, receptionist, accounts department, and emergency contact of Winning Idea. He previously stood near a mattress warehouse until the warehouse asked him not to. He considers this a pivot.
He works out of Unit 4, a room that is technically a storage space and spiritually a coat. There is a second chair for clients. No client has used it correctly. There is a moth named Dennis who is not on the website’s payroll because he does not believe in months.
Gareth’s process is simple. You send an idea. He looks at it. He may send a drawing of a spider. He will send an invoice either way. If you would like a golden retriever, you have the wrong firm. If you would like to be left alone, you are closer.
He has never been on a podcast that finished. He has been on three that started. He is available for keynotes if the keynote is in a parking lot and the audience brings their own seats.
Selected looking
- Looked at gravel until it felt human-centered (it did not).
- Looked at a recliner. Recommended a microphone and a wooden spoon.
- Looked at a breakfast. Participated fully.
- Looked at an investor. Offered an onion.
Photograph omitted. The last photographer asked him to smile and he billed them for the attempt.
